The second mission of Bordergate Baptist Church (Macau, SAR, China) in Mindanao, Philippines, is the Bordergate Baptist Mission-Ozamis (BGBM-Ozamis) in Ozamis City. The other one is the Pearly Gates Baptist Mission (PGBM) in Iligan City. BGBM-Ozamis was established in October 2006 while PGBM (Iligan) was founded on 06 April 2003.

What is now known as the Bordergate Baptist Mission-Ozamis was originally named Harvestfield Baptist Mission that held her worship services, before she became a mission work of BGBC, in Labo, Ozamis City; a place about 8 km from the heart of Ozamis City.
In the year 2001, one of the sons of Edilberto Sr. and ErlindaCaralos, Bro. Erwin LopenaCaralos, took his practicum in Certificate of Bible Theology at Faith Missionary Baptist Church in ILigan City (FMBC-Iligan). Deacon Gerardo “Gerry” C. BaulaJr was then taking care of FBMC-Iligan that gave birth to Faith Missionary Baptist Mission-Ozamis (FMBM-Ozamis) under Pastor Eliseo Deligero. Another mission work was also started by FBMC-Iligan in early 2001, the Ayungon Missionary Baptist Mission (Negros Oriental) under Pastor Jason Cabatingan; now organized and named Ayungon Missionary Baptist Church.
FMBM-Ozamis was later renamed to Westview Missionary Baptist Mission under Pastor Elvey Ojoylan. When the Christian Missionary Baptist Church (Bañadero, Ozamis City) decided to join Westview Missionary Baptist Mission, theyadopted the name to Unity Missionary Baptist Church. From FMBM-Ozamis to Westview MBM to Unity MBC, this church stayed in one and the same building and address: Rocamora(?) Building, Aguada (?), Ozamis City – near the Gaisano Mall of Ozamis City.
Bro. Erwin L. Caralos, finished the required practicum at FMBC-Iligan, and his membership was formally transferred from Buhangin Missionary Baptist Church (Buhangin, Davao City) under Pastor Romeo Jardinel, to FMBC-ILigan. When the Baula family decided to start a new mission work, he opted to join the new group and became one of the seven (7) pioneering members of Pearly Gates Baptist Mission (PGBM). The first authorized divine worship service of PGBM was administered by Pastor James E. Estenilo on 6 April 2003 at the Baula residence in Doña Maria Subdivision Phase 2, Baraas, Tubod, Iligan City. That was the first visit of Pastor James in PGBM, in fact, in Mindanao!
In one of the succeeding visits of Pastor James in PGBM, Bro. Edilon Lopena Caralos, the older brother of Bro. Erwin L. Caralos, was introduced to Pastor James by Bro. Gerry Baula, Jr., then the acting Pastor of PGBM (Iligan). It was during these visits of Pastor James that Bro. Edillon expressed his desire to be sent as a mission worker by BGBC. At least three (3) more meetings (in Iigan City during mission anniversaries and in Malinao?, Cavite during a Bible Conference in the church headed by Pastor Barera) happened before Bro. Edillon was invited to BGBC (Macau) where he was baptized and ordained as missionary and pastor of the Ozamis mission work. While Bro. Edillon. L. Caralos was in Macau, Pastor J. E. Estenilo, at least once, called Bro. Gerry Baula Jr. , to ask some information on Bro. Edillon as part of the background check prior to the ordination of Brother Edillon. He was ordained by BGBC on 22 October 2006.
When Pastor Edillon L. Caralos came home from Macau to Ozamis City, Mindanao, Philippines, Harvestfield Baptist Mission adopted the name Bordergate Baptist Mission-Ozamis (BGBC-Ozamis).
A few weeks after the start of BGBM-Ozamis, Pastor JE Estenilo, went to Ozamis City and baptized the pioneering members of the mission work (still meeting at Labo, Ozamis City) and became members of

BGBC thru BGBM-Ozamis:
1. Bro. Edlberto ?Caralos, Sr. (originally a member of Christian MBC (Pastor QuirinoMabuyo) then to County Avenue MBC (Pastor BienvenidoAbay, Sr.)
2. Sis. ErlindaLopenaCaralos (from CMBC to CAMBC to FMBM-Ozamis)
3. Bro. Erwin L. Caralos (from CMBC to CAMBC to Buhangin MBC, FMBC-Iligan to PGBM)
4. Bro. Edliberto L. Caralos, Jr. (from CAMBC to FMBM-Ozamis)
5. Sis. Edillyn L. Caralos (from CAMBC to FMBM-Ozamis)
6. Bro. Eric L. Caralos (from CAMBC to FMBM-Ozamis)
7. Bro. Ephraim L. Caralos

In the succeeding months Pastor Edillon baptized Sis. Grace Borres-Agan, Sis. Gegee Sonogan, Sis. Cindy Daroy-Bustalino?.In that order.
In 2014?, BGBM-Ozamis moved to a new meeting place at the heart of Ozamis City: along Mercado Street? The second BGBC Missions Conference was held in this new chapel. Bro. Francisco Sumalindap, a tribal leader of the T’bolis, joined BGBM-Ozamis about this time. He was baptized by Pastor JE Estenilo in Cota Beach, Ozamis City? With Bro. Francisco Sumalindap assisting Pastor Edillon Caralos, the Montol Extension, a missionary work about 15 km into the highlands from Ozamis City, was established. This was supposed to be the venue of the 2nd BGBC Missions Conference but due to weather conditions and steep terrain between the conference hall and the cottages/sleeping quarters, it was moved to the city proper after the initial activities thereat.
